Our History

Fort Daniel Children’s Academy is a family-owned and operated childcare provider servicing the Hamilton Mill, Dacula, Buford, and surrounding areas. We opened the school in May of 1995. Incredibly on our first day of operation, we served approximately 90 infants through preschoolers. In our second year of operation, we served over 200 infants through Pre-K children. Currently, we offer toddler, preschool, GA Pre-K, and Private Kindergarten programs. We also have summer camps and before/after school care. Fort Daniel Children’s Academy currently has 28 employees and serves roughly 250 children each year.

We are lifelong residents of Gwinnett County. We have raised four sons in the Dacula area. Andrew, 25, attends Mercer where he studies physical therapy and Tyler, 25, officiates for the NBA. Both frequently return home on breaks to work with the children and serve as positive male role models to them. Brian, 16, and Parker, 12, both attend local schools and spend their afternoons playing with friends and expanding their learning outside of the public school system. They come from a family with over five decades of childcare experience.

Fort Daniel Children’s Academy emphasizes the importance of family. The majority of our staff have worked with us for 10 or more years including some who helped open the school 18 years ago. We cherish the time spent with each other including the celebration of many births, graduations, and marriages. We truly are family, and all children are loved, respected and cared for like they are part of our family. Just as we have watched the community grow up around us, we would love to be a part of your family’s growth.
